3 Styled Outfits + Tips on How to Give a Great First Impression

Hey Guys!

Welcome Back!

Fashion is a really great way to express yourself! It shows your style to everybody before you even say a word. A first impression is molded within seven seconds of meeting a person. 55% of this first impression is non-verbal. So, fashion, if styled correctly, gives a great first impression.

Before putting together your outfit, you want to figure out your aesthetic. For example, mine is elegance with an edge. Next, after you've locked down your style, you can begin to think about what looks good together and what doesn't. A top with a wild print will look good with plain blue jeans. These jeans should be completely plain - no rips or anything, because that could overwhelm the outfit. Next, once your outfit is put together, figure out the shoes. If it's an elegant but still casual top I would recommend sandals, instead of heels or sneakers.

Once your entire outfit is put together, remember to spend some time with your hair/makeup. If it's more of a chic-casual top, you can do a french braid going into a ponytail, for example. When doing your makeup, remember to reflect the style of the outfit with it. If it's a really fancy outfit, do nice, sleek (and possibly heavier) makeup. For more of a casual look, maybe go with something more natural. And that's all there is to styling an outfit! :)

Below, I'm going to style a few different outfits and tell you guys why I made the choices I did. XD

1. Chic-Casual

This is the Chic-Casual outfit. It's a basic green crop top paired with high-waisted jeans, so as not to show too much stomach. Then, I added the popular white with black stripes Adidas, which are so in right now. This outfit really screams to me just hanging out at the mall with a group of friends or going to Starbucks to get the new latte. It's really laid back and cool.

2. Pop-Punk

This is the Pop-Punk outfit. It's a graphic black tank top with ripped black jeans and bright red Converse to add a pop of color. If I were to do this girl's hair/makeup, I would make a REALLY messy bun with side bangs - like so messy it doesn't even look like a bun anymore. XD I would also do a really sharp cat eye with liquid eyeliner and bright red lipstick to accent the shoes.

3. Elegant-Casual

This is the Elegant-Casual look. It's a pretty, cold-shoulder floral top with plain light blue jeans. I added basic nude/brown sandals because i didn't want to overwhelm the outfit with another color or print. Cold-shoulder and off-the-shoulder tops/dresses are crazy in right now. Everyone from Aeropostale to Macy's carries these kinds of tops.

Those were my three personally-styled looks that I wanted to share with you as well as some tips on how to look your best! I hope you liked them! Do you agree with me on how the cold-shoulder and off-the-shoulder tops are so in right now? Tell me in the comments! XD
