Embroidery: Chic or Eek?
Hey Guys!
Welcome back!
Today, I'll be talking about a newer trend - embroidery. It's been seen on runways from Alexander McQueen to Marchesa. I, on one hand, think embroidery is super chic and it can work for everyone, if they style it correctly. On the other hand, if it's not done well, it will look dated. Embroidery is the decorative stitching of yarn or thread on a piece of fabric. It's one of this season's most popular trends. For me, the embroidery has to be elegant and in flattering places to look good. I also think that embroidery is prettier on black fabric.
In my opinion, embroidery on white can look like a Spanish folk dress, which could be really pretty if that's your style. If you still want to have embroidery on white but with a different look, I would recommend making the dress shorter, with less movement, and with cooler embroidery colors such as blue, pink, and/or green.
All in all, I think that the embroidery trend is pretty chic and anyone can rock it.
So, what do you think? Is embroidery chic or eek?
